Who is Gamma Phi Delta?

Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc. was founded in February, 1943 at the Lewis Business College

(Lewis College of Business) Detroit, Michigan by Mrs. Elizabeth Garner, an instructor at the College, assisted by her sister, Mrs. Violet Lewis, owner and President of the College.

At Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated, service is more than a duty - it is a privilege. Each member is encouraged to share her gifts of time, knowledge, and expertise to strengthen and support our communities.

Though non-political, we remain engaged with the world around us by studying and exploring issues that affect humanity and sharing insights with our members. With peace, patience, joy, kindness, wisdom, courtesy, justice, charity, and faith as our guiding principles, we endeavor to uplift others and leave a lasting impact on society.
