About Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated

​

Founded in February 1943 at Lewis Business College (now Lewis College of Business)

in Detroit, Michigan, Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated was established by

Mrs. Elizabeth Garner, an instructor at the college, with the support of her sister,

Mrs. Violet Lewis, the college’s owner and president.

For more than eight decades, Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated has stood as a beacon of sisterhood, service, and excellence.


We believe that service is more than a duty—it is a privilege. Each member is encouraged to share her time, talents, and expertise to strengthen and uplift the communities we serve.

​

Guided by the enduring principles of peace, patience, joy, kindness, wisdom, courtesy, justice, charity, and faith, we are committed to making a positive impact and inspiring future generations of women to lead and serve with purpose.

Nu Phi Chapter - Cincinnati

The Nu Phi Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on
February 25, 2017, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

​

Our graduate members proudly serve as mentors to four youth groups, supporting both young women and
young men. Through our programs, members act as positive role models and provide valuable guidance in
areas such as refinement, cultural awareness, job readiness, and leadership development.

​
